Fishing Frustrations reef can be dangerous as can be seen by
the above photo , please be aware this photo was taken on a calm day.
Frustrations reef is approx 200m north of the Kalbarri Rivermouth and boasts
some of the finest Mulloway hotspots in Kalbarri , with fish caught in excess of
30kg.
Other fish species have included Spanish Mackerel , Pink Snapper , Baldchin
Groper , Tailor , Tarwine , Samson fish & Big Sharks.
And as the name says Frustration is what most of us encounter , with snags ,
huge bust off's and of course you have your good and bad days with no fish , but
hey thats fishing , time and patience is needed here , best times are after dark
, but DO NOT fish the REEF itself after dark as it is dangerous , just move to
either end where there is a beach section
Frustrations Beach "Northern End"
This spot here is dynamite for monster Mulloway and Sharks ,
there are rumours of a massive Cod that will run with your bait for a few meters
and then you have lost your gear on what feels like a snag.
This is your safest option for night fishing , as there is
deep water , not too many snags and an easy gaff point.
