The main baits for river fishing are , River Prawn , Mullet & Squid.
Mulloway prefer the Mullet as do both the crab species in the river.
Black Bream & Mangrove Jack both prefer well presented peeled River Prawn on a
size 2 bait holder hook & light line
Most of my favored sports are further up river around
Castle Rock and beyond , where regular catches of 35cm + Black bream are not
uncommon , also Mulloway to 70cm can be caught from time to time however
most are around the 40cm mark.
For families the Jetties & Pens always turn up the goods with crabs & fish.
